Sunday in SF includes more than site-seeing

July 30th, 2007 by andrew stein

As you can see, our time in San Francisco last weekend included time on a jungle gym, a little time hiking, and some opportunity to just chill. These pictures give you a little look into this other side of the day in the city.

Some pictures from Sunday’s adventures in SF

July 30th, 2007 by andrew stein

Sunday was a full day as we explored some spots that make up San Francisco. Of course, on such an adventure, I would never forget my camera. As a result, I took lots of photos and have already posted a couple of my pictures from the day! Click here to view the pics.

What do Mozilla interns do when not working?

July 28th, 2007 by andrew stein

We try to stay busy even when that doesn’t mean fixing bugs, coding, or planning events. On the weekends, we have been known to mix it up a little. For example, the interns can pull together quite the competitive poker game every once in a while. It’s all in good fun, but at the same time, no one wants to lose.

But one Friday night also took some interns to a mini-golfing place not too far away. This event started off competitive, but by the end, turned into more of a speed mini-golfing competition rather than a win-or-lose fight. Check out some more mini-golfing pics.

The new and improved steinpics.com

July 25th, 2007 by andrew stein

I just wanted to say that I have changed the layout of steinpics.com. I tried to improve the design as well as usability. I especially love sharing family photos, and I’m happy with the way this site turned out. Below are a couple screen shots of the new site.

On my way to Shana and Adam’s Wedding

July 14th, 2007 by andrew stein

I’m about to head off to my sister’s wedding, but before I did, I wanted to share some of the excitement that occurs before the wedding ever begins.  Festivities began Wednesday night with an intimate dinner between the two families.  Not only was dinner involved, we also managed to fit in a tiny bit of basketball and swimming (and I didn’t even have to push for these things to happen!).  Thursday followed with a flurry of preparations–more for my sisters and mom than my Dad and me.  Then Friday, people began arriving for the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner.  I tried to capture as much of all of this as I could on my camera.

Check out the pictures here!

In about 30 minutes, my Dad and I will be driving to the wedding to meet up with my sisters and mom.  This is going to be an amazing day–details and adventures of the day are to follow sometime in the next week.

Enjoying the 4th of July at Point Reyes

July 4th, 2007 by andrew stein

What a day! Bright and early on the forth of July, I headed up to Point Reyes to meet up with Julie and George. After having no cell phone reception in Point Reyes Station, we finally found each other (luckily the town was about 2 blocks long), and then we sunscreened and got ready for our hike. We took the Tomales Point Trail all the way to the end, enjoying the scenery, the elk and each other’s company along the way. Both George and I were quite picture happy for most of the journey. Check out the photos!

After a reasonably tiring hike, we were all looking forward to showering and finding a fun place for dinner, and a fun place for dinner we found! It was this small brewery and restaurant named Moylan’s. It definitely hit the spot. If you ever find yourself in Novato, CA, you should check it out.

All in all, it was a great 4th of July!
