When I was invited to go gokarting, at first I was skeptical. I’d seen others do it and was never super impressed, but clearly, I wasn’t going to the right places. This spot in Burlingame was like nothing I had seen before. GoKart Racer had gokarts capable of reaching 45 mph on twisting tracks, and we all had a chance to race against each other. I had one fun interaction with a wall while racing. While going somewhere between 30-40 mph, I lost control and when straight for the wall. Not to worry though because except for a couple bruises, the massive helmet, neckbrace, and 4 point seatbelt didn’t let too much happen to me. And to prove this place meant business, check out what we had to wear…

We just finished a great weekend at the beach. Somehow, it was both relaxing and packed full. The photo below at the camp fire is not doctored at all. The fire was almost as tall as we were and was creating massive heat–in other words, shirts were optional. And in fact, soon after this photo, we all decided to go for a little swim in the Pacific.

The night winded down next to this fire after the flames calmed down a little. We all passed out from the full day and slept very comfortably on towels next to the bonfire for a couple hours before leaving the sand.

Last weekend was spent in Santa Barbara, and we tested our hands at making a bonfire one of the nights. Although we did not necessarily hit all ten things listed below in our bonfire, we came close. As you can see, our time in San Francisco last weekend included time on a jungle gym, a little time hiking, and some opportunity to just chill. These pictures give you a little look into this other side of the day in the city.
